An End of Life Doula is someone who serves and accompanies individuals as well as their families during the end of life journey. End of Life Doulas provide holistic, non-medical support and comfort to the dying person and their loved ones. This may include education and guidance as well as emotional, spiritual or practical care, from as early as initial diagnosis, sitting vigil, and through bereavement.
End of Life Doulas do not provide medical treatment or therapeutic interventions. They do not take the place of hospice; rather, they complement other services that a dying person and their family may be receiving, including hospice or palliative care.
The services provided by Touch of Life Healing Arts will differ for each individual. It is important that we form a true partnership and collaborate to explore and identify the needs and desires you have for your end of life wishes. This, in turn, will determine which services you may expect from me as a caring support and guide.
